SXSW 2019 | COMMERCIAL, EVENT, & MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographing SXSW is one of the most overstimulating and rewarding experiences of my life and even though 2019 was my second year to do it, it still didn’t make it any easier!
FRIDAY THE 13TH | BLACK AND WHITE RIVER PORTRAITS
Some spooky glamour shots on Friday the 13th in the Amite river in Denham Springs, Louisiana!
GLOWING GODDESS GURU BEAST MANIFESTO | BOOK & BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Brittany is an amazing Baton Rouge creative who breaks the mold of traditional “health coach” and is also a certified yoga teacher. Her book breaks down and explores all the things we THOUGHT about “health” and what it means to love yourself. I got to photograph the imagery for her new book- You can actually purchase a copy of it here!
A DAY TO REMEMBER | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
A Day to Remember is just one of those bands that you can count on- every album they put out is amazing and cohesive. They’ve been around for a while and I am so honored to have been able to document their show in New Orleans!
PARISH COUNTY LINE AT BAYOU COUNTRY SUPERFEST
I was honored to document my friends in Parish County Line throughout the second day of BCSF 2019. They work really hard and honestly, they dominate the local country music scene. Getting to be the only local band on the bill for this nationally recognized festival was a huge deal and a very cool opportunity for everyone involved.
5 PLACES TO TAKE PHOTOS IN BATON ROUGE
Baton Rouge may not be a huge city, and just because there are a million photographers in town doesn’t mean that you have to reinvent the creative wheel with some crazy, out of this world location. To be completely blunt, it’s all been done before anyways. Here are 5 of my favorite places to shoot that consistently deliver great photos to clients!
MASON RAMSEY | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
Sooo everyone remember that video of the boy yodeling in Wal-Mart that went viral last year? I saw he was coming to the Texas Club here in Baton Rouge and got to photograph the show.
WHY EVERYONE SHOULD GET BRANDED PORTRAITS
I may be biased because I’m a photographer, but I wholeheartedly believe that everyone needs to have professional headshots done of themselves no matter what industry they’re in. Nobody likes seeing a grainy phone pic that you cropped yourself out of that was taken in a bar ON YOUR LINKEDIN!
FRESH SPRING STYLE SHOOT | 225 MAGAZINE | FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
I recently got to do a fun shoot for the March issue of 225 Magazine at the local Clegg’s Nursery! We had an amazing team and I’m really excited about how fresh the photos/looks are!
WALK-ON’S | COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
A few weeks ago I was able to work with Walk-On’s for a content creation opportunity! I love approaching brand photography with a lifestyle approach, especially when good food is involved.
BIRD BOX SCREENING | REFINERY29 x NETFLIX
A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph a movie screening for Refinery29 in New Orleans- I had no idea what movie it was for until about the day of, and was super excited to find out it was the premiere for one of Netflix’s newest films, Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson.
THE STRUTS IN NEW ORLEANS | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
I had the opportunity to photograph the Alt 92.3 Humbug Bash a few weeks ago in New Orleans, which showcased rock band The Struts as the headlining event!
WHY ARE PHOTOGRAPHERS SO EXPENSIVE?
Something I hear a lot of people outside of the creative industry complain about is how “expensive” it is to hire a creative for a service, purchase a product from a creative, etc.
UNDEROATH IN NEW ORLEANS | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
I had the opportunity to photograph one of my favorite bands, Underoath! Sometimes you go to a concert and it’s like an out of body experience- I’ve only been to a few shows like that and this was definitely one of them.
RETRO BOWLING | BENEATH THE BARK JEWELRY | FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
I have been so excited to share these photos! A while back, my friend Molly Taylor of Beneath the Bark reached out to me about doing a vintage style fashion shoot to promote her jewelry line.
WHY SOLOPRENEURS SHOULD HAVE A BUSINESS ADDRESS
I love my neighborhood. I love where I live. But I DON’T love people knowing where I live. Why? Because it’s not safe! Here’s why you need to get a business address:
3 TOOLS THAT SAVED MY BUSINESS
Soooo I can be a bit stubborn when it comes to learning new skills. I’m the person that gets the iPhone software update but turns off all the bells and whistles in the settings to make it operate like the previous software did. BUT I will say that in this solopreneur world, tech tools can be your best friend! These three online tools/apps have heavily improved my workflow and efficiency by optimizing my time.
LEVERAGING YOUR EVENT WITH SOCIAL MEDIA
In a digital and social age, it's more important than ever to properly utilize social media to help plan, market, and execute your event to your target audience. You can use social media to create a branded, engaging, and successful experience for your guests- before, during, and after your event.
CELEBRATING STYLISH WOMEN | 225 MAGAZINE | FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
I love getting the chance to do style shoots for 225 Magazine here and there! 225 Magazine is one of the main publications in the Baton Rouge area and getting to turn everyday Baton Rouge locations and people into editorial fashion spreads and models is always a fun challenge.
5 DAYS IN ATLANTA | WHAT TO DO, WHERE TO EAT | TRAVEL RECAP
Last week I was able to travel to one of the coolest cities and spend a few days exploring what they had to offer... ATLANTA is awesome, y'all!
