THE AP WORLD TOUR | HOUSTON, TX | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
A few weeks ago I got to go on a long anticipated trip to Houston with my boyfriend to see/photograph The AP World Tour at Scout Bar!
This year's AP World Tour lineup was really exciting. The four bands were Like Pacific, Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, and State Champs. When my boyfriend and I heard the lineup announced a long time ago we freaked out. I am very much obsessed with Knuckle Puck and Neck Deep specifically, so we bought tickets instantly and both planned to take 2 days off of work to make it a trip.
When I found out that the publication I photograph for (Stitched Sound) wanted me to cover the show, I was ecstatic. I felt kind of bad because that meant leaving my boyfriend in the crowd alone while I went and shot the first 3 songs of each band from the barricade, but it ended up being well worth it. I had originally bought us tickets to go as an early birthday gift, so I felt terrible... but he was too busy jumping around and singing the songs to care if I was near him or not. I ended up shooting BUKU fest in New Orleans on his actual birthday, so that's when I really started feeling bad haha.
Anyways! We went to NASA beforehand and saw some cool stuff, then the concert was AMAZING. I lost my Fitbit and got pretty bruised up because it was a rowdy show, but it was great. I am very happy with the photos I got out of it too! We also went to the Houston Zoo the next day and walked for 6 hours (curse losing my Fitbit the day before, UGH) but all in all it was a really great trip/mini vacation!
