ETHEL CAIN | MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY

Ethel Cain is one of those breakout artists who is EVERYTHING to those who know and WHO??? to everyone else. She came onto my radar over the course of 2023 through TikTok culture and seeing images from various festival sets on my photographer friends’ pages. When I finally dove deep into her songs myself, I was immediately captivated by the lore she created through this character and of course, her raw talent and haunting melodies. When I heard she was coming to NOLA for a SOLD OUT show at Joy Theater, I knew I had to find a way to photograph it.

Never have I ever seen a crowd more attentive and focused on an artist- the experience was absolutely ethereal and transcendent! I love seeing her get the recognition she deserves while still retaining her core audience and not blowing up too fast.
